School Groups

In March 2020 we went into Highfield Primary School, Chorley and did a clay and paint session. They were learning all about the Vikings and the jewellery which they made. Before I arrived, they had done a design session in class and planned their piece of jewellery so that when I gave them a piece of clay each they could make that piece of jewellery. We dried it a little during break time and then they painted the clay piece with special clay paints. I then took them all back to the studio to be dried and fired and then glazed and fired.

Clay bowls and urns decorated in traditional colour. St. Mary’s Catholic School Great Eccleston made these colour traditional shaped urns and jugs. Some painted ancient Greek style and some modern. St. Mary’s brought their school to the studio and they all made a clay pot Greek style. We fired them and they returned the following month to decorate them.

Leverhouse School Creative week; all the pupils from reception upwards painted mugs. We did finger painting for the young ones and introduced different sponges and stamps to use for the older children. As you can see some of the really young did hand prints too

Clayton le Woods Primary chose a class to do a tile freeze, using the topics they had studied that year to date. We added 3D flowers, sea life, sun and leaves onto there individual tiles to add a new dimension to the work.

Rewards and Retirement

Leyland St Mary’s Technology College Wind Band commissioned a signature plate for their retiring Head of Music.

Some schools purchase our gift vouchers to give out as rewards or prizes to their pupils.
